Chris Hecht

Chris Hecht joined Silversmith Capital Partners in 2024 as Operating Partner. At Silversmith, Chris leverages his deep expertise in software and M&A / partnerships to support the firm’s deal origination and diligence initiatives and collaborates closely with portfolio companies to support growth and value creation as they scale.

Chris brings over two decades of experience driving growth and scaling market-leading technology companies. Most recently, Chris was SVP of Corporate Development and Product Partnerships at Databricks, overseeing 10 acquisitions, including MosaicML and Tabular, and played a key role in scaling the company’s ecosystem by spearheading Databricks Ventures, product partnerships, and startup initiatives. Prior to Databricks, Chris was Head of Corporate Development at Atlassian, leading 10 acquisitions/ divestitures and scaling the company’s integration capabilities, while also launching Atlassian Ventures.  Previously, Chris oversaw M&A initiatives at Salesforce where he led 21 acquisitions worth over $10 billion in aggregate deal value, including MuleSoft and Demandware.

Additionally, prior to joining the firm, Chris served in board roles at Silversmith portfolio companies Apryse and Clearer.io.

Outside of work, Chris lives in Marin, CA, and is the parent of three kids who insist they no longer need his oversight. He’s an avid skier, mountain biker, and golfer—though 'avid' reflects enthusiasm more than skill.
