Mike Owens

Mike is an accomplished entrepreneur and board member. As the Founder and CEO of Absorb Software for nearly 20 years, Mike led the company as it delivered on his vision to create a leading intuitive SaaS-based Learning Management System. After bootstrapping the company for the first 14 years, Mike

oversaw the successful transition of the business into a scaled, global enterprise with over 250 employees and 400 customers in 34 countries, and was responsible for the successful acquisitions and integrations of four companies into the Absorb Software family. Absorb Software was acquired in 2021 by WCAS and Mike continues to serve as a Board Member.

Prior to founding Absorb Software, Mike served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Canadian Armed Forces for 24 years.
