Mid-Century Flask and Collapsable Cup

Customer brought in this mid-century flask with collapsable cup to have it restored. The cap expands and turns into a cup. We removed dents, stripped, plated, and restored the finish to the piece.

Restoration job on “Timeless Innocense” by Ramon Parmenter.

This piece was a limited production of a sculpture by Ramon Parmenter. We restored the finish to bring out the beauty of the silver in the piece.

1931 Iowa State Fair Trophy

This trophy was awarded to the customer’s grandmother by the Iowa Health Department for outstanding service in nursing during the Great Depression. We were asked to restore the silver back to it’s original shine.

Process:

Fixed dents and imperfections in the metal.
Polished metal to remove dirt and debris
Cleaned with lacquer thinner
Added .999 fine silver
The piece is then hand polished again
Laquer is applied to seal the piece
